The Ultimate Guide to Online Classes

Online classes are such a great way to learn and get all the credits you need to complete a degree program on your own time. Online classes are amazing for people who have full time jobs or families at home and they don’t have time to sit the classroom during the week. Here are a few tips to keep you on task, organized and to make your transition from the classroom to the laptop go a lot smoother.

1. Planner

A planner is a huge necessity when it comes to staying on track with your assignments and staying organized. When you get your syllabus, write down all of your due dates in your planner. This way you’ll never slip up and accidentally miss an assignment when it’s due!

2. Notebooks/Binders

Since your assignments are all online, you may think it’s not necessary to have an individual notebook for every class. Well I’m here to tell you, you couldn’t be more wrong. Having notebooks for each class, will help you to stay even more organized and keep the material for each subject separate.

3. Time Management

If you find yourself procrastinating and putting assignments off until the last minute, you will definitely start to see yourself get further and further behind in your work. Practice good time management and schedule your studying ahead of time to avoid falling behind.

4. Take Breaks

Another thing you should schedule in is BREAKS. Study breaks are so IMPORTANT for your mental health when it comes to school work and studying. You should set some time aside to grab a snack, watch a YouTube video, or scroll through Instagram for awhile to take a breather. Just make sure you set a TIMER, so you don’t get carried away!

5. Complete Assignments Early

If assignments are opened up early and you have the extra time, ALWAYS complete your assignments ahead of their due date. You’ll be ahead of the game and it shows that you’re super proactive!
